Robert Tomkinson is a Venture Partner of Athena Technology Ventures. He is currently with eBay Motors. His prior experience includes four years with Oliver, Wyman & Company, an international management consulting firm, where he managed projects covering e-commerce, risk management, and capital markets technologies for some of the largest banks and brokerage firms in Europe and North America. More recently, he worked on E*TRADE’s international strategy, and completed projects for a variety of e-commerce companies, including eBay and Winebid.com.
He graduated with first class honors from Oxford University and holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. At Stanford, Robert wrote regularly for the school newspaper, was elected Vice President of the Wine Circle, and co-authored a National Law Journal article on online IPOs. Robert served on the board or worked closely with several companies including Reactive Network Solutions, a network security provider; Trapezo, an e-commerce software developer.
