Perry Ha
Managing Director
Perry Ha is the co-founder and Managing Director of Athena Technology Ventures. Previously, he led the Product Development and Technology Management Practice at Gemini Consulting, a global management consultancy, helping Fortune 1000 clients manage technology portfolios and develop new products. Implementation-oriented in his approach, he helped his clients develop better products with shorter time to market. Prior to that, he managed a Development Group at Amicon, a developer of life science devices, which was successfully sold to Milipore in 1994. He was granted two design patents during his tenure at Amicon. In 1997, he founded Athena Technology Ventures applying a hands-on approach in investing and building companies. In addition to investment, he has served as CEO in two different companies. He has invested in and served on the board of many companies including Ipivot [INTC], Demandtec, Imparto Software [PKS], ProfitLogic [ORCL], and Zantaz. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Seoul Software Incubator (SVI), Korean American Society of Entrepreneurs (KASE), and on the Leadership Board of MIT’s McGovern Institute for Brain Research. He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. As the captain of his collegiate volleyball team, he was selected to Division I NCAA All-American Third Team. Also, as a certified 5th Degree Master Instructor of Tae Kwon Do, he regularly trains and teaches students including his son.
